Vintage Photo Assignment
This week I decided to shoot an open assignment. I always liked pictures that look vintage or retro and always wondered how to create a picture like that. I started to research how to edit them to look old and worn. I took many pictures of things that I thought would look good edited in that way. Many of my pictures are of old flowers, flower petals, an old piano, and swings. I learned many things during this assignment, like how to edit the picture and what types of pictures look best in the vintage effect. My best photo is a picture of a bouquet of old dried out flowers that I took in the snow, I like this because I thought it looked cool and worked well for the effect I was trying to create.

I learned many things during this like how to make the three separate pictures bland together to look realistic and like it belongs. We used many tools like the erase, scale and move tools. This was very fun and creative way to better my editing skills!

Black and White Photo Assignment
For this weeks assignment I decided to shoot black and white photos. I found scenes that would look interesting, and possibly better in black and white. I took pictures around my house, of my white cat, some decorations and candles. I also went outside and took pictures of the landscape and architecture that I found. My best photo is a picture of a swan that I found in a river, I thought that the white of the snow and swan contrasted well with the dark of the trees and water.

It was, at first, very difficult to create this photo but with practice I achieved a good example of motion in photography.

I used a black sheet as the backdrop, and then used a desk lamp as the lighting source. Nature/ Landscape Photo Assignment
For are most recent photo assignment I decided to shoot nature/ landscape. I went to millpond park, and took a lot of cool photos of the river, snow and animals that were there. I found it difficult to try to create a natural looking color, and not create a blue tint. By best photo is a picture of a bridge, and the river that was partially frozen.
